Favourable and incredible position, we liked staying here.
We booked a neat and beautifully maintained room with all the essentials and the spa bath, for instance. We had a microwave oven, an electric kettle, and a fridge. Location: the hotel was right by Redwoods and Burried village, the supermarket at 11:30pm at night, and the extensive outdoor activities in the Redwood Forest and Maori Village thermal area;))

The place we stayed had a really well-kept apartment with a neat outdoor spa tub - super relaxing. It was situated right in the heart of everything, so getting around was a breeze. 🌿

The staff were extremely friendly. The motel has storage space for bikes which is perfect for bikers. And it is so close to the Redwoods biking track. Comfortable and joyful stay!

The one thing I liked about the Motel was the private outside spa pool that was full fence and covered. It was relaxing to soak in the spa after walking around the City or taking part of the adventures around Rotorua.
The one thing I did not like about our experiences was that on arrival we were placed in the wrong room. I said to my partner that the room does not look like anything on the web site that I booked off. So we went down stairs and explained to the man what we saw on the web site and that the room we booked was not what we got. He said that it was. We explained again but in detail what the photos were on the site and he said that if we want that room we would have to pay an extra $10. I thought that it was rude for the guy not to listen to us and to say it’s only an extra $10 to pay for the bigger room with the spa pool. If it was only $10 why would he not make the only customers that were actually there happy and just give us the room without paying more money. Anyway my partner grabbed the laptop to show the guy what was on the web site. After that he said he was sorry and gave us what we booked. He added the next day, when we checked out that he would off argue with us until he was blue in the face if we didn't have proof of what we booked. This was all over a fee of $10 that he was not willing to pay to make some customer happy. This Motel will not be getting repeat business from us, and our experience will be spread though our friends and family as bad customer service.

Our city break was made even more enjoyable thanks to the nice touches that included a bottle of sparkling wine and chocolates left in our room. the milk was fresh and delicious. We really appreciated the short distance to the main attractions of the city, making it very convenient to explore. Another positive aspect worth noting was the private courtyard with a lovely spa pool, which was a wonderful way to relax after a long day.
The experience was not perfect. One issue was the noise from the street as it was quite loud, especially at nighttime, which made it difficult to sleep.

The location was quite central
The manager wasn't very understanding - due to daylight saving the alarm clock in the room was not switched over which meant we had a late check-out.

I found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. Special requests were no trouble to them at all.Would definately recommend this establishment to other.
The only thing I didn't like was that the room we had didn't have any cooking facilities in the room, but in saying that, the staff suppiled us with breakfast menus. The cooked food was delivered to our room piping hot, which was fantastic.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
